Rashad Bilal & Troy Millings

CEOs, Earn Your Leisure

Rashad Bilal learned at a young age the importance of financial literacy and realized that he wanted to translate his knowledge into actions. After graduating from The University of Hawaii in 2007, Rashad became a financial advisor in 2008.

Troy Millings was born in the home of Hip Hop, the South Bronx. From an early age, music influenced his education. His keen memory and ability to memorize lyrics translated into memorizing historical facts, equations, and literature. Those two passions would later mold the educator he is today. He taught for 16 years, beginning his teaching career in NYC Dept. of Education to most recently the CSD of New Rochelle.

In the midst of teaching, Troy led Operations Crossroads as Program Director, a summer youth program designed for students at the secondary level of education. The purpose of the program is to introduce students to financial literacy through culturally responsive education while providing them with opportunities to gain work experience through summer internships in career fields of their choice.

Realizing there was a need to expand financial literacy education outside of the traditional classroom setting, Troy and life-long friend Rashad Bilal came together to start an educational platform called Earn Your Leisure. Today, Earn Your Leisure has grown into one of the top business platforms in the world with its own podcast network, a top business podcast under its own network, and an online educational platform.

Earn Your Leisure is a revolutionary media platform which gives rise to emerging and established content creators from the world of business, finance, and entrepreneurship whose perspective, expertise, and in-depth insight has been undervalued and overlooked. At its core, Earn Your Leisure’s ultimate purpose is to build, as we climb as a community highlighting collaboration over competition.

Earn Your Leisure has three Top 100 podcasts under its umbrella, including  “Earn  Your Leisure”. The Earn Your Leisure Show has amassed over fifty million downloads and is consistently ranked in the Top 20 Business Podcasts in the United States, peaking at #1 on the Apple Podcast charts.

Earn Your Leisure has over 2 million followers across social media, and 900,000 YouTube subscribers. EYL hosts live events across the globe, which includes the biggest financial literacy festival in the world “Invest Fest”. Over 14,000 attended Invest Fest 2022, with keynote speakers including Steve Harvey and Tyler Perry.

Earn Your Leisure also includes an online educational platform, “EYL University”. EYL University is an online interactive community that includes over 100+ archived webinars covering a range of business, finance, and entrepreneurial topics. In 1991 Dr. Brazier transitioned from IBM and founded Brazier and Associates.  His entrepreneurial acumen and unquestionable business savvy led to his appointment as Chief Information Officer for the Chicago Housing Authority.  He remained in this role until 1995 – the year he became the general administrator of the Apostolic Church of God.  Dr. Brazier served as general administrator from 1995 thru 2008.  In this role, he systematically developed a fool-proof business model, making the Apostolic Church of God a well-run organization, housing over 20,000 members.

MINISTRY
In 2008, Pastor Arthur M. Brazier announced his retirement; the Apostolic Church of God’s Official Board, through unanimous vote, elected Dr. Byron T. Brazier to fill the vacancy.  Pastor Arthur M. Brazier officially passed the torch to Dr. Byron T. Brazier on June 5, 2008. Dr. Brazier humbly accepted his new role and readily assumed this awesome responsibility. His primary motivation was for the congregation to grow in the grace they have received from God, to build their spiritual identity, character, and vision, and to enjoy being a part of the body of Christ.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
As an advocate for the community, Dr. Brazier continues to ensure that the church remains a beacon of light and an agent of change in the community. Through the establishment of the Bishop Arthur M. Brazier Foundation, Dr. Brazier has obtained funding from various philanthropic organizations to support the development of the Woodlawn community in the areas of education, public safety, and economic development. In 2010, Dr. Brazier proposed the development of the Network of Woodlawn which has provided a unifying vision for the Woodlawn community.  In 2014, Dr. Brazier established a social enterprise manufacturing company that provides workforce development services for residents in robotics controls.  The revenue from this social enterprise entity is reinvested into the Woodlawn community.

Dr. Brazier is the chairman of the board of the Network of Woodlawn and its pillars, the Bishop Arthur M. Brazier Foundation, and BSD Industries L3C.  He sits on several boards, including the Cook County Sheriff’s Merit Board, the Bishop Arthur M. Byron Sellers

Mobile Home Park Investor

The co-founder of Mobile Home Elite Investors, Byron Sellers came into the mobile home business by fate. Their journey began on 3/3/2017. That was the day that Byron was fired from his job.

After he became unemployed he started driving for Lyft. During his time as a driver he began to listen to podcasts religiously. One day he stumbled on a podcast about mobile home investing. The podcast caught his attention and he sent it to the love of his life Sharnice. The podcast peaked her interest because it mentioned that you could invest with low money down and you didn’t need great credit.

In the midst of their financial hardships Byron’s car was repossessed, leaving him unable to drive for Lyft anymore. With their backs against the wall, they decided they had nothing to lose and took the leap of faith into being full time entrepreneurs. They took out a high interest loan of $10,000 at a 24% interest rate.

They then purchased 2 mobile homes that they found on Facebook for under $5,000 (one for $3,700 and one for $500). Less than a month later they flipped the homes for a profit of $19,500.

Since that first deal, Byron has flipped 100s of mobile home deals within the past 3 years and are now owners of 4 Mobile Home communities with more coming.  Their goal is to become the largest African American mobile home park owners in America.

Throughout their journey of building an extensive mobile home portfolio.  Byron has developed the top online educational platform to educate investors on the industry.
